The memorial lesson was conducted by Rebecca Over, who reflected on the manner of passing of some Sacred Harp composers in the early 20th century and drew on her own experience of personal loss. She led 499 for the following deceased: Dennis and Violet Sabine—Harold Wood, Essex; Stan Elsey—Ipswich; Malcolm Wilson—Naburn, Yorks.;  Frank Godwin—Bampton, Oxon.; Lonnie Rogers—Ephesus, Georgia; Peter Schoonjans—Sweden; Regina Ludev—Poland; David Bullen—Yorkshire. Michael Walker spoke for the sick and housebound, with particular reference to the first and last attendances at a singing by Mr Lonnie Rogers, who had died earlier in the week. He led 41 for the following: Jan Lawrence—London; Linty Davison—London; Mary Wray—London; Maria Cunningham—Sussex; Cherron Mentorre—London; Phyllis Blake—Southend; Charlotte Walker—Virginia; John Grant—Arkansas; Cath Saunt—Norwich; Bernard Collard—Oxford; Carole Satyamurthy—London. The memorial was closed.
