The annual Lewes Sacred Harp Singing Day was called to order by Rachel Jordan leading 34b followed by the opening prayer offered by Mike Cooper. Iain Paxon spoke for the sick and housebound, leading 331 in their names: Paula Mogensen, Stella Hardy, Carole Baldie, Lil Hollman, Evelyn Munson, Jeannie Blagg, Dave Cooper, Hubrina Gőrlich, Roger Derwent, Alan Moore, Justine Stairmand and Helen Bushell. The memorial lesson was given by Mary Welch in honour of the deceased whose names were read by Werner Ullah: Andy Spence, Millicent Brown, Francesco Nazzini, Ivan Bainbridge, Michael Seifert, Kamila Zahno, Reginald Brett, Charlie Hicks, Adrian Barritt, Mark Girling, Jennifer Bennett, Frank Pigott, Rollo Woods, Stuart Reed, Lucy Foster, Geoffrey Rendle, Sarah Bunting, Jeff Stote, Geoff and André Rioh, William David Clee. Steve Welch led 452 and Mary closed the memorial with prayer. Announcements were made. Rachel Jordan thanked all who had helped in any way to make this singing possible then led 347 as the closing song. Edwin Macadam offered the closing prayer and the class was dismissed.
