The ninth United Kingdom Sacred Harp Convention was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chairman Ken Baddley, welcoming all those attending, and then Edwin Macadam and Sheila Girling Macadam (Past Chairs) led song on page 34b. Alan Weeks offered the opening prayer.

Alan Weeks gave the Celebration Lesson and led 350 in particular for Cameron, a grandson; Steve痴 new job, at last!; Joanne Hoover (Mercer Island, USA) 70th birthday, 5 Oct; Sophie & Stu McDougall痴 10th wedding anniversary; For a good harvest; Hannah痴 2:2 degree and new job Rachel Jordan then led the song on page 269.
